I wanted to ask all of my blog readers for a very special favor tonight. If you find it in your hearts to say a prayer for my youngest sister-in-law, Kristen, her husband, Hank, and their unborn child I would greatly appreciate it. She has been diagnosed with appendicitis and there is concern for the baby's well being. We know this is in God's hands and everything happens with his reasons in mind, but at the same time, it is hard to sit by and let it all unfold without being able to step in and have some say in the outcome. The only thing we can do as family is to simply pray and ask for prayers from others.
Please ask him to guide the surgeon's hands; to keep Kristen safe and for a quick recovery; to stay Hank's and the rest of her family's nerves; and to protect this new life. It's hard being an aunt and knowing my niece or nephew could be in harm's way; it's even harder knowing my little sister is too.
Update: Thank you to everyone who said a prayer for this family. They were answered and Kristen is on the road to recovery!
